Description:
This vintage WARDS USA scout knife dates to the late 1940s or early 1950s, during the heyday of American hardware and catalog brands. Made for Montgomery Ward — and likely manufactured by Camillus or Ulster as a contract piece — it features durable construction and authentic genuine bone handles with a beautiful aged patina.
Equipped with four traditional tools (spear-point blade, pen blade, can opener, and punch), this knife was designed for real field use — and it still holds up today.
🔹 Blades: Spear Point, Can Opener, Punch/Awl, and Pen Blade
🔹 Tang Stamp: WARDS / Made in U.S.A.
🔹 Era: Circa 1945–1955
🔹 Handle Material: Genuine bone with natural pore pattern, aged color, and original pins
🔹 Closed Length: Approx. 3¾ inches
🔹 Construction: Brass liners, steel blades, nickel silver bolsters
🔹 Condition: Vintage used – blades show patina and wear. The punch blade does not have a nail nick and may require a pick or tool to open. Other blades have strong snap and function properly. Bone scales are intact with no major cracks.
A truly nostalgic piece of American cutlery, this knife blends classic design with honest wear and natural materials — ideal for collectors, scout memorabilia enthusiasts, or vintage EDC fans.
⚠️ Note: One blade (small punch) will need to be pried out for use. Use caution.
